NOAH & THE EASTER EGGS

This is a picture of Noah finding Easter eggs, we were at church and the other kids were flying kites and the Easter egg hunt was suppose to be later, he went over where the eggs were and started finding them. He had the cutest look on his face when he found them, I am sure he wondered why those Easter eggs with candy in them were laying on the ground. We told him to put them back so he put them in a pile.
Work is going better right now, we at still only working three days, but we have had more work on each day.

I am waiting very impatiently for a embroidery card I ordered last Wednesday afternoon. I ordered it for a store about 60 miles from here, I thought ordering it from a some what local store I would get it sooner, I guess I was wrong. I called the store today and ask if it was mailed out Thursday like the woman said it would be, the lady I talked to said it was not mail out Thursday, but she thought it was mailed either Friday or Monday. Then she said well what is today? She also said if I had not received it by Thursday call her back. I could have ordered it on line if I wanted to wait that long for them to ship it. Oh well maybe I will get it tomorrow.

LOVE THOSE GRANDS

Yes we really do LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THOSE GRANDS. As I said in my first post today, yesterday was Caitlyn's birthday and her party was last night. Today Van (our DIL's Dad) had a gathering for the kids at church, they flew kits, had an Easter egg hunt and had hot dogs, it was all really nice. Amanda brought the kids and I went too. Tomorrow night Caitlyn's drama group is doing the program at their church so I will being going to that.
I made Sammy the wall hangings for his birthday, as usual I am a little behind with his gift but at least I got it done in the same month. I made them for his office at church. Eddie Van just got a new Bible and needed a cover for it so I made it and machine embroidered his name on it. I think he really likes the back pack idea. I think the kids look real cute standing there, it is hard to get them all looking at the same time.

PSALMS 107; 8
Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men !

HAPPY BIRHTHDAY CAITLYN

Yesterday was Caitlyn's 9th Birthday. They had the grandparents and some of her friends over for pizza, chips & dip and cake & ice cream last night, then she had a sleep over, then today they were going to a place where they have those things that kids love to jump in, it is all inside. I haven't heard from her today but I am sure she is having a good time.
I am not sure I could even do a back bend at 9, but Caitlyn is very good at things like that, she is so limber. The next picture is her present from Papa and me, she really like it, we bought the swimsuit, cover up and towel, but I made the bag. She got some really nice and beautiful gifts and was so happy with everything she got.
I was going to post this yesterday but my computer was messing up, Eddie finally got it straight
late last night, I haven't been able to do much on here for a couple days, it is good to have it straightened out.

JERRY MOTHER & NOW JEAN'S

For the second time in as many weeks, our little work group has lost a loved one. Last week Jerry lost his Mother and now Jean has lost her Mom. It is always sad to loose a loved one, but if they know the Lord as Saviour we know they are in a much better place. It is a place with no pain, no tears, no growing old and no worries about the economy or any of things that worry and upset us here in this world.

REVELATION 21; 4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

SPRING~ RENEWAL

Spring is a time for renewal. What is the best renewal of all, right the time we come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour. The picture is when my Dad was baptized. Look at all those people being baptized and all the ones watching from the river bank and from the bridge. This picture was taken around 1946. My Dad went on to Preach for 58 years. I thank and Praise the Lord for Godly parents, that raised us in a Christian home. My parents have gone to be with the Lord now, Mom went on June 28 2001 and Dad went on January 20 20o7. I can remember when I was real young setting close to my Dad when he was studying and preparing his sermons and helping my Mom cook food for people that were going through a time in their lives like a death in the family or maybe hard times for what ever reason. They both taught us to Love the Lord and show kindness to those around us.
EPHESIANS 4; 32
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

SO READY FOR SPRING

I will be so glade for the weather to get warmer, we had a few days a couple weeks ago that were in the 80's. But since then it has been pretty cool and we have had rain most of those days.

Jerry's Mom past away and they are going up for the funeral. They will be leaving tomorrow and the visitation will be Thursday night and the funeral will be Friday, please keep them in your Prayers as they travel and attend the funeral. By the way Jerry and Ada own the business I work for, they are really nice people and work with us and beside us everyday.

PHILIPPIANS 4; 7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

GOD LOOKS OUT FOR US

God is always good to us, we go through a lot of things, but he is always there for us. Week before last Amanda had an accident with their van, a lady pulled in front of her in the parking lot at Walmart, no one was hurt, but the van was totalled, they found another one last Friday, it is a couple years older then the other one but they got a good deal on it and it will be paid for next year. I went to church at Amanda's Dad's church yesterday, Van (Amanda's Dad) has been having some problems with his heart not beating in rhythm. While at church yesterday he had that problem and Gloria (Amanda's Mom) had to take him to get it checked out, they kept him over night but he is doing good now. Then today Amanda called to say that their church was broken into last night, they went in the fellowship hall and ram sacked it and then went in Sammy's office and stole his laptop and the memory stick, that he had a lot of his sermons stored on and most all the stuff that went with his laptop. My Prayer for that is that the person that took it will read some of those sermons and get Saved !!!!

PSALMS 62
1 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

WE MADE DOLLS

Last weekend when Caitlyn and Caroline were here not only did we work in the garden but we made dolls. Do you remember those dolls we made out of yarn, the ones you wrap the yarn around a book or cardboard of two different sizes, we actually used DVD covers. I thought Caroline would like them but I didn't realize how much Caitlyn would love making them, she made two of them. She ask me who taught me how to make them, I told her my Grandmother and now I was teaching them and someday they could teach their Grandchildren. Since we were using DVD covers Caitlyn ask me if we had DVD's way back then.(lol). I told her no, we used a book or cardboard.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMMY

I can not believe our youngest son is 30 today, it seems like just yesterday he was a baby. Now look at him. All grown up with a wife, four kids and the pastor of a church. We are proud of both our sons and their families, God has been good to us and helped us rise two good Sons that Love and Serve the Lord.

BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND

I was given a nice award from my blogging friend http://dresdenplate.blogspot.com/, I Thank You so much, but for some reason I cannot get it to copy and paste on here (I am sure it is me). I am having trouble lately with getting pictures to load too, but then we do have dial-up and it is soooooo slow. I tried two times before I got this picture to load.

We have had a really beautiful weekend, Caitlyn and Caroline spent Friday night with us. We got up Saturday morning and ate breakfast and Caroline was ready to go work in the garden, so we soon went out in work and play, she loves helping Tall Papa, and has already ask when she can help again, Caitlyn enjoyed it too, but was ready to come in the house when she saw a bee. Friday night we made Pizza for supper and had enough for it left for lunch Saturday. We grilled hot dogs for supper Saturday night. After getting a little snow and really cold, temps Monday night were in the teens, yesterday and today temps were in the 70's and 80's.

A friend that I have been working with for about three years, just recently accepted the Lord as her Saviour, she is so happy and excited about this, she has always been a good person as far as the way she treated people, but you can really see God working in her, please Pray for her as she grows in the Lord.

STILL COLD !!!!

It is still cold, it is suppose to be warmer tomorrow, but tonight we might be getting record breaking cold :( We had another good day at work, we stayed busy and got a lot of work done. We don't know if we will be working Thursday yet, I guess we will find that out tomorrow. Caroline called this afternoon and ask if she and Caitlyn could spend the night Friday night. We told her of course they can. I hope it is pretty this weekend so we can go outside and maybe even work in the garden.

RAIN, SNOW AND COLD

We are still getting some rain, but now it is mostly snow. Pretty Snow, well it is a little wet, but it is still pretty falling. But Baby it is Cold out side. I am still ready for spring, Eddie said a little while ago he will be so glad when he can get his garden going. He already has a few things planted, his lettuce is up, he covered it up this afternoon in hopes the cold and snow will not hurt it too much. Caroline sent him an e-mail last week asking him when she could help him in his garden, he told her she could come help him as soon as it warms up a little more. I will take some picutres of them working in the garden. We had a pretty good day at work today, but we still don't have as much work as we would like.

BUSY

I have been pretty busy the past few days. We had more work to do this past week at work and I Thank God for that, work has really been slack and we haven't been getting many hours so when we do we need to Praise the Lord for his Blessings. Eddie and I have been trying to getting our digital boxes and antenna's working right, the one in the living room has worked OK from the start, but the one in our bedroom hasn't, I told you to start with we had to carry the digital box back and get another one, that one work pretty good, but the indoor antenna didn't pick up good, so we went to Radio Shack and got an outdoor antenna, but it has been raining even since so we don't have it hooked up yet. It is taking us a little time adjusting to not having Dish network, but we will.

Yes it has been raining here for a few days now and it is suppose it turn into snow tonight, I don't think they a calling for much snow here but it is going to be cold tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night and then by the end of the week it will be nice, I will be sooooooo glad for spring to get here.

Sammy, Amanda and the kids came yesterday afternoon to visit and ate supper with us, Eddie and Sammy cooked chicken on the grill, they had to pull the grill under the shelter, since it was raining. They did a great job, the chicken was really good. I fixed slaw, fries and barbeque bread and also a butter pecan cake with cream cheese icing. We had a great time, it is so good having both our sons and their families living close by.

PSALMS 25
