MONDAY

As I said in my last post, Friday was Caroline and Eddie's birthday, so I will share a few of those pictures with you, the first is all the kids setting at their little table in the living room, next is our DS, Jason helping in the kitchen, he is such a good son, husband and Daddy, then a picture of Lori, Caroline and Pearl dressed up in princess dresses.

Amanda found a house today that they will be renting, actually the church he will be pastoring is renting it, but they got to pick out one that suited their needs. It is going to be sooooo good to have them only an hour and half away and not 6 hours away.

Eddie and I had a quiet day today, we really didn't get much of anything done, I fixed country ham and rice for supper, we had some rice left so I now have a rice pudding in the oven, it is a recipe from one of Paula Deans' cookbooks and we both really love it.
JOHN 3; 3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

MORE CHRISTMAS (pics)

I am sharing a few more pictures taken on Christmas Eve.

We are really having a nice time this Christmas season, we have been able to spend a lot of time with the family, we went to Jason and Cheryl's last night for Caroline's birthday, it is also Eddie's birthday, Jason fixed a fish stew and hot dogs, they were both really good, we also had birthday cake and ice cream. Caroline wanted to have a sleep over for her birthday, so Pearl and Lori spent the night, they really had a good time.I am not sure how much sleep they got, with four girls in one house, only God knows. I think Lori and Caitlyn were buddies and Caroline and Pearl were buddies.

Sammy and Eddie Van went back the the mountains today and will come back next week, Amanda, Pearl, Lori and Noah are staying to look for a house for them to live in here, actually about an hour and half away from here.
PSALM 89;1
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

LUKE

2;1 And it came to pass in those days. that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

2 And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.

3 And all went to be taxed every one into his own city.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethleham; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her first-born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Beth-lehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.

20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

LUKE
1;67 And his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
69 And hath raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began;
71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
74 That he would grant unto us, that we, being delievered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways,
77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins.
78 Through the tender mercy of God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of grace.
80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel.

1;57 And Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.
58 And her neighbors and her cousins heard how the Lord had showed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.
59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zechariah, after the name of his father.
60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.
61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by that name.
62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
63 And he ask for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marveled all.
64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.
65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judea.
66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with them.

WEDNESDAY

Today was out last day of work before Christmas, I am planning on finishing my shopping and then do some cleaning, before the kids get here, then I can enjoy visiting with everyone. We are planning a hay ride Monday with all the kids, big and small, there is a farm a couple miles from here that has Christmas hay rides every year, you ride in a wagon and set on hay bales and it is pulled by a tractor, they play Christmas and you ride through a lighted path that has Christmas scenes and animals, it is really nice.

I just saw this link to a chance to win free fabric on a forum I visit thanks to CJ for posting it the

LUKE
1;46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord.
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.
48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation .
51 He hath showed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

MONDAY

This was another Blessed day, even though Lee, our leader at work was not there, she had to go for a follow up on some surgery she had this summer, we really miss her when she is not there, I really really miss her, because I answer the phone and try to do some of the things she does and keep up with my work too. I Pray things went well for her, the last word I had from her she had had her test and was waiting to see the doctor to hear what he had to say. She will see another doctor tomorrow and that will be an all day thing too.

Christmas is quickly coming and I am still not as catch up as I would like to be, but after Wednesday I am hoping to get catch up.

LUKE
1; 39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah.
40 And entered into the house of Zechariah, and saluted Elisabeth.
41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

VERY BLESSED DAY

Our son that lives six hours away......... called today, they will be moving real soon, so they will then be about an hour and ahalf away. I am sooooooooo happy!!!!! It is going to be so good to have them that close to us. He will be the pastor of a church where they are moving, he is really happy about it too, he is the associate/ youth pastor where he is now, so this will be more responsibility for him, but he said the Lord has lead him to pastor so he will help him as he takes this on.

Tonight was the program that Caitlyn and Caroline were in, it was really good and had such a good meaning and was such a blessing. They had all worked so hard on it and it turned out so well.

LUKE
1; 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her,and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36 And, behold. thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

CHRISTMAS COOKIES

Caitlyn and Caroline spent the night, last night, we had a really good time, as you can see we baked cookies, we had a lot of fun making them, it got a little messy but it all got cleaned up, the Christmas program is tomorrow night at church, so they are going to take some of them for refreshments. We made enough for here and some for them to eat at home, besides the ones they will take to church.

I got up early yesterday and went shopping, I got most of it done, most of the time I have more of my shopping done than I do this year, but I have enough of it done that I can wait until we get off for Chrismas, then I will have free time and can do it.

LUKE

1; 18 And Zechariah said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to show thee these glad tidings.

20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

21 And the people waited for Zechariah, and marveled that he tarried so long in the temple.

22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying.

25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth.

WEDNESDAY

We had another very busy day at work today, tomorrow looks like it wil be too.

I talked to Caitlyn and Caroline last night, they are spending the night Friday, I ask both of them what they wanted to do, Caityn is thinking about it, you know her, she is going to want to do makeovers again. Caroline said she wants to eat outside, she said Tall Papa could make a big fire and we would put the hotdogs and marshmallows in it and cook them and then get in the tent like we are camping. I talked to her other Grandmother awhile ago, she said she talked to Caroline last night too, Caroline called her and then wouldn't say any thing for awhile, then she told her that she was in the closet, her Grandmother told her she didn't like her being in there, their might be spiders in there, to that Catoline told her that she was in there with GOD, what can you say to that.

LUKE
1; 9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.
11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the alter of incense.
12 And when Zechariah saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zechariah : for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijiah, TO TURN THE HEARTS OF THE FATHER TO THE CHILDREN, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Just a few words, I had a very Blessed day today, we stayed really busy at work, we always get really busy just before Christmas and have to work really hard to get things done before we leave for a few days off.

We had leftovers for supper, Eddie ate beef stew again, he really loves it and I don't care for it, but when I cook it he will eat it over and over, I had the rest of the shrimp from last night, so we were both happy.

I have been trying to get my print program to work, I just can't seem to get it right, but I need to work on it a little more so I can print out some things for Christmas.

Amanda is one of our Daughters-in -law, today is her birthday, I talked to her awhile ago, she said she really had a good day, Sammy, 'our son.... her husband' took her out for lunch and then this afternoon baked her a banana cake, her favorite, she said it was really good and the kids had been giving her little gifts, recycled ones, better know as things around the house that they thought she would love to be given again, they are soooo sweet and love their Mom and Dad sooooo much.

Friday night Jason and Cheryl had a Christmas party to go to, so Caitlyn and Caroline stayed with us a couple hours, Caitlyn loves to give me makeovers, you should have seen me, she put makeup on me and did my nails, keep in mind she is 8 going on 20, I had enough eye shadow on for two people, but we had a goooood time, Caroline always comes behind her and finishes up the nails.

SUNDAY

I have really enjoyed my time off for Thanksgiving, but tomorrow morning it is time to go back to work. We will only work three weeks and then be off two weeks for Christmas.

I talked to our youngest son, Sammy, a little while ago he said they are about 40 minutes from home, it was so good to have all of them here for Thanksgiving and we are looking forward to having them all back at Christmas.

Friday the Grands help put up the tree, we put up a small one this year, I think it was easier for them to work with, it looks good, I am going to make a tree skirt for it and then put the Christmas village around it, I still need to get the stockings out and hang them and a few other things and then the gifts.

We really had a good Thanksgiving, all the kids were here and as you can see we had turkey, will kind of, I saw these cute little oreo turkeys on "Threads of Mine" blog, she said she found the directions at http://thehungryhousewife.blogspot.com/2008/09/happy-fall.html, I thought the kids would really like them, they really did.

We did have chicken salad, ham, watergate salad, chilli, sweetpotato pies, coolwhip, brownies, chips and some really good crescent pumpkin and cream cheese rolls. It was all really good and we all enjoyed something a little different.

TUESDAY

I have been off work sense Wednesday of last week, I have been trying to catch up on some things around the house but am not getting a lot done. Thursday we went to Trenton to the meat market to get some sausage and then we stopped by another little place to eat some lunch, the sausage is really good, I will not say much about the lunch we eat, but we will not be going back to that place anytime soon. We love to go to the meat market to get sausage and with the kids coming for Thanksgiving we wanted to get some for breakfast while they are here. When I talked to Sammy yesterday he said all of them had been sick except him and Lori, but they were doing better today, so the plan is still to come tomorrow, they will going to my daughter-in-law's parents and then come here thursday for supper, Jason, Cheryl and the girls are coming too, so we will have a house full, but we love it that way. A friend of mine gave me a couple bikes, the only thing we had a do was put some air in the tires. Her kids are getting bigger ones for Christmas so when she ask if the Grands could use them I was happy to get them.

I finished sewing the last quilt for the Grands, all I need to do now is clip it and then take them to the laundry mat to wash them. I started the tablerunner you see at the top of the post, all I have done so far is sew it together, I still need to quilt it, I will probably wait until after Thanksgiving to finish it. I really need to clean my sewing room up, it is also the guestroom and I can't hardly wait for them to come.

SATURDAY

I will have to say this saturday was better than last saturday, we still miss little LIZZIE GIRL, when you love someone as much as we love her it is really a hard thing when you loose them. It still is hard to come in the house, I want to call her. We both find ourselves looking for her or checking to see if she needs food or water.

I went to a baby shower this afternoon, it was the one I made the diaper bag for, I also made a couple blankets and knitted a little hat on my Knifty Knitter Loom, she really liked all of them, it is nice to give someone something and they act like they really appreciate the gift.

I have now made 5 out of 6 quilts for the Grands !!!!!!! Only one more to go, then I will have to come up with something else to keep me busy.

MATTHEW
11; 28, Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your soul.

30, For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

MONDAY

It was really hard to leave the house today, Eddie was home all day by himself, we really Love our Lizzie Girl and are having a hard time adjusting to her not being here with us, 13 years plus is a long time to spend with someone and then loose them.
We are looking forward to Thankgiving, the kids will be here for supper, I am not doing the turkey, they will be having that with the in-laws, so I will come up with something different, I am not sure now what that will be.
I need to get my quilts finished, I have one dog almost finished and then one more to go, then I will be done with all six, they have really been a lot of fun.

MATTHEW
6; 9 After this manner pray ye, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliever us from evil; For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen

A TIME TO MOURN

This is a very sad day for Eddie and I........Lizzie is gone, she has been leaving us a little each day this week, we took her to the vet three time. this week.....but today was her last visit, he told us it would be the best thing for her....he gave her the shot and she laid her little head on my arm the way she went to sleep many many nights.....but this will be the last time, she is now in her finial resting place and to have to see Eddie dig that was so hard and putting her there was too, we put most of her little toys in there with her and wrapped her in her blanket. Eddie and I are trying to hold on......but it is so lonely around here, we miss her so very much, she has a place in our hearts that only she will ever have, we both Love her sooooo much. We need all the Prayers we can get.

TUESDAY

Lizzie, our dog has not been feeling too good the past few days, so today Eddie (hubby) took her to the vet, he said it is congestive heart failure, caused by old age, he put her on Lasix 40 mg 1/2 pill a day and Enalapril 2.5 mg 1/2 tablet eavery 12 hours. It is not the easiest thing to get her to take her medicine, but we fooled her this afternoon with a little ice cream, the vet said she would be needing to go out a lot more for bathroom breaks. What can I say, she is our baby and spoiled rotten, I mean really spoiled and she knows she has us wrapped around her little paw.
At work Bobby was not feeling good either, he was having chills and sick on his stomach, he called before we left this afternoon and said he was feeling a little better.

PSALM
51; 1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

WEDNESDAY

This has been a cloudy day, but a Blessed day. However first of all at work my sewing machine messed up, it is sick, my needle shaft is stripped, they are going to order one, so in the mean time I will use another one, it works really well, but all my stuff is at my machine, I will be so glad when it is fixed.
After I got home from work , I decided to work on the quilt blocks for a block lotto I am in, it is a double four patch block, we are each doing at least one pair, here is my pair:

I talked to DDIL2's Dad today he is doing good now, he got out of the hospital yesterday, he said his heart had jumped time, they had another word for it but he said that is what it was. Thanks for the Prayers for him. GOD IS SO GOOD !!!!

Monday

Monday, what can I say, I did have a Blessed day. First at work we had a hard time trying to get the clocks all set right, we finally got them set and then one of them was off, so we set it again thought everything as going good until time to go home, that was when we found out something most be wrong with the battery, we will wait until tomorrow to put a new one in. Today for lunch we went to the little Chinese buffet, I now have a new favorite Chinese food, coconut chicken, it is soooooo goooood, yes!!! I eat to much, but, did I say it is soooooo goooood.
Please keep my DDIL2's Dad in your Prayers, he is in the hospital, they are doing some test, his blood pressure keeps going up and down and so does his heart rate. The man I work for had to go see his Mom this morning too, she fell and broke her hip and they had to do surgery, so please remember her in your Prayers too.

JAMES

TUT on Rag Quilt Bag

I went to the quilt show today, I had such a great time, there is really a lot of talented quilters around, we had a chance to vote on our favorite, no way I could choose just one. I also got to play with a quilting machine, it was a Gammill, just $6,995, right,I think I will go back tomorrow and get one LOL. The lady that was showing it was very nice though, she gave me her card and some info about her place and the machine. They also had some demos on some hand quilting and one on a very pretty Christmas Ornament,it is the Folded Evening Star Block, it would also be nice as a coaster and you can even make it larger to use as a hot pad. The only thing I bought was a Quilt Sew Easy, you use it for free motion quilting. I only paid $1.00 for it, I saw a lot of things I would have loved to buy, but I was good and it only cost $5.00 to get in and it was worth every penny of it.

Dear Hubby and I went to Vote this morning!!!!!! The line was not long in our little town, I Pray that the election goes well.

Here is a little tut on how to make a rag quilt tote bag, this is a very small one.
First cut your squares, using two layers of your fabric and one layer of flannel for each square. these are cut 4x4 inches.

Sew them together vertically, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.

Then measure a pocket to fit over two squares and one to fit one, lay it over the squares or square and sew it in as you sew that seam. I sewed one on the front panel and the other on the back panel, on the inside.

Then cut and sew your strap, this one is 1 1/2 wide and 10 inches long, then sew it to the top of the bag and top stitch the top of the bag.

Then sew the front and back together and clip all the seams and then wash and dry the bag.

Now you are all finished.

Of course you can make this what ever size you want, for the diaper bag I used 4x6 squares and put a band between the front and back.

PSALM

150: 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high-sounding cymbals.

THURSDAY

We had our wounderful lunch today "HUM HUM", our friend that cooked the pig did a Great job, he had it there right on time, we all enjoyed way tooooo much, along with the pig we had sweet potatoes, potato salad, slaw, baken beans, pasta salad, collards, hush puppies, pig pickin cake, seven layer cake, strawberry short cake , chocolate cake with white mountain frosting and iced tea. It was all sooooo good. Then we had to finish our days work, that was the hard part.

From the looks for the chocolate cake I think I can say they enjoyed it, the pic of the strawberry short cake is the one I made for Dear Hubby, as you can see he still has a lot of it left to eat, I guess I will have to help him with that 'LOL'. They ate all but a little bit of the strawberry short cake I took to work, so I gave the rest to one of my friends, she said her daughter would really enjoy it.

I am off work until Monday so I am planning on working on one of the quilts I am making for the Grandkids, I am also going to Vote in the morning. Then after that I plan on going to the Quilt show, I am really looking forward to that, I have never been to one before, but now that I have a chance and it is so close, I am going.

PSALM

150: 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Wednesday

My days just seem to get more and more busy, I worked today and then came home and made two strawberry short cakes, one to take to work tomorrow and one for Dear Hubby, I also made a chocolate cake with White Mountain Frosting, also to take to work tomorrow, I have to say they all turned out pretty good, except the chocolate one looks like it is leaning to one side. A friend of ours at work is cooking a pig tomorrow for lunch, I hope we get most of our work finished before we eat, I am sure after that we will not be able to work very hard.

PSALM
150 : 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with the psaltery and harp.

TUESDAY

I finally got the diaper bag washed and dryed, so I am posting a couple of pictures. It is for a friends' Granddaughter, we are giving her a baby shower next month. It is hard to believe that little Jennifer is old enough to have a baby, my how time flies, it seem like just yesterday she was in middle school and now she is all grown up and having a baby of her own. I took a picture of the bag and one of the inside, it has two large and two small pockets for all those small things a Mom always needs and then the large middle part for the the diapers and clothes.

I talked to our oldest Grandson and one of our Granddaughters Sunday night, this is ths ones that live away from here, they said something killed one of their kittens, they had a funeral for it, they said they sang Jesus Loves Me, but that it was a sad time. The younghest Granddaughter said it was sad but they had one more kitten and the Mommie cat.
PSALM
150: 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Busy Busy

I have been pretty busy lately, I am making our Grandchildren quilts again this Christmas, these are from a pattern I saw it someplace, I can't remember where, it is Simplicty #4993, it has a cat, dog and a bear, they are rag quilts, so far I have made two cats, so I can say two down and four to go. I am going to make two of each. I also made a rag quilt diaper bag, this a for a baby shower I am going to next month, I will post a pic a soon as I wash it, that is to start the fraying.
Our two Granddaughters that live close by called yesterday to envite us to their chuch for drama night, they were both in the drama, it was a very good drama, they really have been working hard on it and did a great job.

PSALM

Wednesday

This has been another Very Blessed day.
One of my friends spent the morning at the out patient surgery clinic with her Grandson, he had a tonsiltectomy, he is home now and is doing good. I went by to see him a minute after work, he wanted a hug and a little lovin. One of the other girls at work sent him some donuts, he was real happy about that, his Mom said he had already eaten some chicken and pastry.

Monday !?!

I guess it has been a typical Monday, when you try to get back in the swing of another work week, but all in all it has really been a Blessed day.
I got all the sewing done on the quilt I have been making and even did all the clipping, now to make five more and then I will take all of them to the laundry mat and wash them to start the fraying effect.

PSALM

ONE OF THOSE DAYS

Did you ever have one of those days? It wasn't really a bad day, I got up late, then I wanted to work on one of the quilts I am making, I kept loosing pattern pieces, I finaly got it cut and started sewing, to find out I forgot to cut a couple pieces, cut them out and started sewing again, I got a little of it sewed, it is looking pretty good, every thing is just taking a little longer, maybe a break from it is what I needed.

Our Granddaughter the Star

I just got back from the play, right their on the program , Top Billing was her name, our Granddaughter the Star. She did soooooooo good, the name of the play is 'Bones' all the third grade class was in it, she had the longest part, I could never have learned all the part. We are soooo very proud of her.

Quilted Checker Board

I am off to our Oldest Granddaughters play at school, she is in third grade, her Mom just called to remind me about it, so I need to get ready to go soon, I will let you know how it went later.

I did want to share a picture of the quilted checker board I made, the Grandkids love it, two of them were here this past weekend and played it for about an hour, they got down to where one had 2 checkers left and the other had 3 left, then they justed stopped playing, I don't think either of them wanted to beat the other. The oldest is soooo protective of her little sister, for the most part she would never do anthing to upset that little sis, but of course they do have their moments.
PSALM 106

She is our youngest sons', he and his wife have four childern, two boys and two girls. They live about six hours away, but I am Praying one day they can move closer, but God will have it take care of that. Our other son and his wife live about 20 minutes from us, they have two girls.
